Studies on the Interspecific Hybridization between Allium Fistulosum and A . Cepa

Abstract

|
The author carried out studies on the synthesis of the amphidiploid and sesquidiploid between two album species, A.cepa and A.fistulosum and further conducted the investigation on the botanical and agronomic characteristics of These synthesized plants. Behavior of male sterile genes, Smsms, of A.cepa in the interspecific hybrid was also studied. The results of these experiments are summarized as follows.
